With performances on prestigious stages worldwide and a collection of accolades, Sharón’s true brilliance lies in her extraordinary ability to shape her voice with the artistry and precision of a finely tuned instrument, bringing the Sound of Sarah to life in a way that is uniquely her own.
The Main Stage ticketing is divided into Sessions. Each Session is comprised of three power-hitting Acts. Seating is divided into groups which include Premium 4-seater tables, General 6-seater tables and then General theater seating. ALL GENERAL SEATING TABLES ARE RESERVED FOR VOYAGER PASSPORT HOLDERS, so please purchase your all-access Voyager Passport in advance. You can pick up your Voyager Passports at the Box Office after 3pm on the first day of the festival. All proceeds from the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival directly support efforts of the Jazz Academy of Music.
About Sharón Clark
Washington, D.C. standout Sharón Clark has brought festival and concert audiences to their feet across the globe with her captivating performances and extraordinary vocal talents. Her New York run earned rave reviews from the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, and she was honored with New York’s Bistro Award for Best Vocalist.
Clark has toured internationally, captivating audiences from Europe to Israel and Russia, where she has developed a loyal following. She won the Gold Medal and $10,000 top prize at the Savannah Music Festival’s American Traditions Competition, followed by a first-place win in the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition, which included a featured appearance with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Her most recent album, Soulful Serenity, is a collaboration with long-time partner Paul Carr on tenor saxophone, featuring Bruce Barth, Chris Grasso, Herman Burney, Michael Bowie, and Lewis Nash. Her previous release, Do it Again — My Tribute to Shirley Horn, received critical acclaim and is now in its third printing.
Sharón Clark has graced the stage as a featured soloist with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony. She regularly performs at iconic venues such as Blues Alley, the Kennedy Center, Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club, and in New York at the Iridium and the Metropolitan Room.
She has headlined prestigious events, including the DC Jazz Festival, East Coast Jazz Festival, Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, Cape May Jazz Festival, and the Savannah Music Festival. Both the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra and The Ludacris Foundation selected Clark to perform for their tributes to the legendary Quincy Jones.
