The Main Stage ticketing is divided into Sessions. Each Session is comprised of three power-hitting Acts. Seating is divided into groups which include Premium 4-seater tables, General 6-seater tables and then General theater seating. ALL GENERAL SEATING TABLES ARE RESERVED FOR VOYAGER PASSPORT HOLDERS, so please purchase your all-access Voyager Passport in advance. You can pick up your Voyager Passports at the Box Office after 3pm on the first day of the festival. All proceeds from the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival directly support efforts of the Jazz Academy of Music.
About the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival Orchestra (MAJO)
The Mid-Atlantic Jazz Orchestra (MAJO) is the premier big band ensemble featured at the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival, composed of 18 exceptional musicians, renowned both nationally and internationally. Founded and directed by saxophonist and educator Paul Carr, the orchestra has had the honor of accompanying legendary jazz artists, including vocalist Gregory Porter, Kurt Elling, Carmen Bradford, Sharon Clark and Vanessa Rubin as well as instrumentalist Bobby Watson, and Wycliffe Gordon. MAJO’s performances are a highlight of the festival, showcasing the rich tradition of big band jazz.
