Maija Rejman is a veteran jazz vocalist and songwriter whose career spans decades in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. With a discography of three critically acclaimed albums — Before We Lose Tomorrow (1993), In Another Lifetime (1996), and Influência do Jazz (2016) — she has earned praise for her soulful voice, broad stylistic range, and deep engagement with Brazilian music, jazz standards, and original compositions.

Rejman performs fluently in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, bringing special interpretive insight to Brazilian material as well as classic jazz repertoire. Her vocal style has been described as both tender and sultry, with overtones recalling jazz greats while uniquely her own. She has shared the stage with many esteemed musicians, including Keter Betts, Charlie Byrd, Buck Hill, Bob Butta, David Kane, Drew Gress, James King, Nanny Assis, Leny Andrade, and Claudio Roditi, among others.
