Georgia Heers is a rising jazz vocalist celebrated for her warm tone, lyrical phrasing, and effortless blend of tradition and innovation. Her voice carries both the poise of a classic jazz singer and the adventurous spirit of a modern improviser, making her one of the most exciting emerging artists on the contemporary jazz scene.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory, Heers has shared the stage with acclaimed musicians such as Fred Hersch, Billy Hart, and Jason Palmer. Drawing inspiration from vocal icons like Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Betty Carter, she brings emotional depth and storytelling nuance to every performance.

Recently, Georgia made a major career milestone with her appearance in George Clooney’s Broadway adaptation of Goodnight and Good Luck—the first Broadway play ever to be broadcast on national television, airing on CNN. Her standout performance in the production further showcases her artistry and rising prominence in the jazz world.

At the Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival 2026, Georgia Heers joins forces with the Nicholas Payton Trio for a captivating late-night set that promises refined artistry, soulful interplay, and an intimate musical connection between voice and ensemble.
